Pilgrim Creek Interpretive Area

A Place Dedicated to Those Before

Noxon, Montana

The Tipi Kiosk is an interpretive project in Pilgrim Creek Park; a day use park for visitors and community members of the surrounding rural areas. Commissioned by Avista Utilities, this project was originally championed by the Native American groups of the region. The original character sketches were developed by local project advocates.  Land Expressions built upon the original imagery and created several additional vignettes and developed a set of technical documents for construction. Land Expressions engaged Hazen Audel (a talented artist of Spokane) to lead the sculptural steel fabrication efforts.

Project Details:

  • Iconic sculptures.
  • Limited disturbance footings.
  • Culturally accurate education/interpretive content.
